Story Ana Gerhard Illustrations Marie Lafrance Musical Recordings I Musici de Montréal Narration Benoît Brière
Travel through time following a charming little mouse called Minim, who happens to love cheese and music. With great courage, he braves a cold Venetian winter night to visit an orphanage. His mission is to replace the tooth fairy by leaving a little gift under the pillow of each child. Little does he know that this task is fraught with danger. A tomcat is lurking about in the building, always on the lookout for his next meal. Luckily, it’s also home to the great composer Antonio Vivaldi, whose music will prove irresistible!
In addition to an illustrated story and introductory notes on the composer, this album features recordings of the narrated story and the performances of the composition Concerto for Winter from The Four Seasons.

Ana Gerhard studied as a concert pianist at the Mexican National Conservatory. Her previous works on introducing classical music to children have all received a Parents' Choice Award in the US.
Founded in 1983, I Musici de Montréal is a chamber orchestra of 15 musicians that performs a vast repertoire extending from baroque to contemporary. The ensemble has released more than 40 recordings and presents a busy schedule of over 100 concerts per season throughout the world.
With his undeniable comic gifts, Benoît Brière quickly became a favourite with the general public in Québec for the many characters that he created in a long series of television commercials for Bell Canada (more than 140 over 14 years). At the same time, he has pursued a career in Québec theatre, films and television. His movie credits include “Séraphin, un homme et son péché”, “Joyeux Calvaire” and most notably “La Grande Séduction”.
Marie Lafrance studied graphic arts and etching, worked as a printmaker and has since illustrated many books for children. Her work has been nominated three times for the Governor General’s Literary Award, and she recently won the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Children’s Book Award for A Hen for Izzy Pippik.
