Read-Along, Sing-Along Collection
A heart-warming story about self-esteem and determination. Follow a little duck from the Prairies who has a big dream: making it to New York City and doing his ducky dance on Broadway! It turns out to be an adventurous journey that appears bound for failure until he meets up with a truck driver named Big Betty. She points him in the right direction and gives him that little nudge he needs to tackle the Big Apple!
The narrated story is followed by recordings of the songs “A Duck in New York City” and “Quack, Quack, Quack”.
Connie Kaldor is “one of Canada's most significant contemporary folk performers” (Billboard Magazine). Her song, “Wood River” is considered by many to be the quintessential Prairie song. In 2007, she was appointed to the Order of Canada.
The duo Fil & Julie (Philippe Arseneau Bussières and Julie Saint-Onge Drouin) have illustrated several albums such as Gratien Gratton prince de la gratouille, Fanfaron, À l'école des petits magiciens and Time for Bed.
